Please pray for Rudy Kuijer as he has recently rejoined CLC – he and his family spent many years with CLC in Spain. One project that Rudy will be involved in is developing a series of evangelism booklets in multiple languages. Please pray for the selection of the right material and that this project will be the means of reaching many people with the Gospel.
12 Thu. Netherlands
Pray for our team as they strive to fulfil CLC’s Vision Statement in their country. They have been looking at how our vision affects customer relations, internal processes, training and their financial planning. Els Oosterhuis reports that this has been a very stimulating process with the enthusiastic involvement of the team in a series of brain storming sessions. Pray that God will use this to further His plans in this country.
13 Fri. India
A Christian bookstore has recently been opened very close to one of our branches in Chennai and is causing a loss of sales for us as advertising material for this new shop is being handed out in the street right by our bookshop. Please pray for wisdom and grace as this is not an easy issue to resolve – the important thing is that God’s name be honored and glorified in all we do.

Esther Domschitz, the Kingston shop manager writes: “We would greatly value your prayers during the August heat as the shop has poor ventilation and some days are a real challenge to both customers and staff alike. We praise God for His answers to our prayers, as both of our full-time members, Blodwen and Graham, recently moved into new homes. Pray that they are able to share God's love in their new neighborhoods.”
16 Mon. USA
Pray for Charlie Hurd and our distribution team as they prepare to ship out Sunday School materials for the over 500 churches we supply every quarter. This involves much organization and long hours in order to make sure the right material gets where it is supposed to be on time.
17 Tue. Hong Kong
Our CLC bookshop is on the 2nd floor of an older building in an excellent location. We have only a very small temporary sign on the front of the building. Now all the businesses with signs on the building have been ordered to remove them and we have
been unable to discover the application process for approving new signs. We really need to have a good sign for our shop, so please pray!
18 Wed. Pakistan
CLC Pakistan is planning to translate some titles by Lee Strobel into Urdu. Please pray for Justin Javed, shop manager in Karachi, as he negotiates with the publishers in the United States. Pray too that our small team will have the needed funds and technical support for this big project.
19 Thu. International Office
With the election of Andreas Bader as the new CLC Italy Director, Gary Chamberlin is now able to serve full-time as the European Regional Director. Pray for Gary as he visits the various teams across the continent, offering insight, training and help where needed. Pray also for the preparation for the CLC European Leaders' Conference which will be held in mid-September in Sicily.
20 Fri. Philippines
Pray for us as we are planning to open at least one more bookshop this year and are seriously considering the possibility of opening in Malolos City – a two-hour drive from Metro Manila. We are also still praying and saving for a staff housing project. May the Lord provide the needed funds so we can start this development.
