1 Sun. Caribbean
The next few months are hurricane season in the Caribbean and there are predictions that this will be an active one. Pray for the protection of our bookstore teams and shops in this region, and that God will enable us to have good summer and fall sales. Pray also for safety as many of our shops are in areas which have high levels of violence and crime.

2 Mon. Papua New Guinea
CLC in Papua New Guinea are planning to rebuild the housing behind the Boroko shop as it is falling into disrepair. At the same time they hope to create more storage space for the shop. Please pray for wisdom and the necessary funds as plans are drawn up and the building work goes ahead.

3 Tue. Sierra Leone
CLC Sierra Leone and “Go Teach” (a UK-based publisher of Bible teaching material for children) plan to organize a seminar in Freetown for Sunday school teachers. Please pray that the church will see this as a blessing and that the training, coupled with the materials, will be used to enhance the church ministry in Sierra Leone and that there will be a renewed interest in Sunday schools in the country.

4 Wed. Australia
Praise the Lord for Geoff Smith who has taken on the role of Marketing and Operations Manager this year. Geoff is based at the Headquarters and Warehouse in Kippa Ring, Queensland. Pray for the Lord’s enabling in this important role and for His blessing on Geoff’s efforts.

5 Thu. Switzerland
We praise God that CLC Switzerland continues to show growth after taking over an existing bookshop in Lugano.  Pray for Carlo Ciafani as he faithfully serves in the shop.  Praise God with us that a part-time helper, Luigi Belliazzi, will join Carlo in August, enabling us to keep the store open six full days a week. Pray that this will have a positive impact on the shop and further meet the needs of our customers.

6 Fri. Germany
Please pray that the Hamburg team would have good ideas for window displays. Many people walk past the shop in the evenings and we want to inspire them to read the Bible or a Christian book. Next door to our shop is a government-run center for dispensing methadone to drug addicts. This brings an increased risk of shop lifting and some of our elderly customers are afraid to walk in this area. Please pray for wisdom in meeting the needs of all our customers.

7-8 Sat/Sun UK
At the time of writing, it is hoped that Anurag Ambadekar, from India, will apply for his UK visa in late July. Please pray that it is granted quickly so that he can soon become part of the CLC London bookshop team for the long term.

9 Mon. Indonesia
CLC has occupied our shop premises in Medan for twenty-five years. The team thanks God that the owner of the building has extended the rental agreement so we can continue in the shop until March 2013, though he has asked for advance payment. Pray for funds to pay the rental and that the Lord will provide if we are to eventually buy the property from the owner.

10 Tue. Russia
Since opening the CLC shop in 2006, we have had three tenants rent the ground floor shop space and the current tenant is thinking of selling his business. Pray for a stable, reliable tenant for this property who will rent it on a long term basis.  Pray too for encouragement and good sales for the Moscow shop team as sales during July and August are usually slow.
