Colombia – CLC Colombia is in the process of changing the computer software programme they use. Pray for the staff as they are trained to work with this system, and pray that the inevitable problems and difficulties that come with this kind of major change will soon be resolved.
The building work and remodelling of the bookshops in Medellin and Barranquilla has been slower to complete than anticipated. Please pray that it will all be done soon, especially in Medellin because CLC are renting another shop premises while the work is done. A celebration event, for the reopening of the shop, is planned for mid July.
Indonesia – Frans Kairupan writes to say that CLC will have booktables at two major events next week. From June 28th to July 2nd they will be at a Youth Conference and Revival meeting in Surabaya and, from June 29th to July 1st, at an Assemblies of God conference for pastors from all over eastern Indonesia.
Jamaica – National Director, Eaton Facey, describes the current security situation in Kingston after the recent troubles: “Past experiences have taught us that it takes a very long time before patrons feel confident enough to walk the streets again. Needless to say, we are still waiting for that time to return to our side of the Down Town area.” Please pray for peace to be restored and for customers to return.
